Ewell, Ervin H., 1806-1881.
Born 30 Oct. 1806 in Batavia, N.Y. Purchased land on the Buffalo Creek Reservation, in Alden, in 1827; married Betsy Disbrow 18 Mar. 1829. Served in many local government positions, including justice of the peace and as a member of the Erie County Board of Supervisors.
