Hide Profile

The Flourtown Chapter of the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), colloquially known as the Women's Club of Flourtown, first began meeting in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania in 1940. The group was originally known as the Whitemarsh Valley Woman's Club, and under that name was inducted into the Montgomery County Federation of Woman's Clubs in 1941. From the 1950s to the 1990s the club met in the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, which is located in Flourtown, Pennsylvania, and so the club became known as the Women's Club of Flourtown. The club was primarily a community service, volunteer, and charitable organization.
