Chicago Illinois Temple Committee

The Chicago Illinois Temple Committee was formed in 1979, and John Sonnenberg was called as the chairman. Sonnenberg also served simultaneously as Regional Representative for the North America Northeast Area, Western Section. Willard B. Barton replaced Sonnenberg as chairman of the committee and Regional Representative in 1984, and served in this capacity until the completion of the temple in 1985.
