Carolina, Clinchfield and Ohio Railway. Engineering Dept.
The South and Western Railway was rechartered in 1908 as the Carolina, Clinchfield and Ohio Railway (CC & O). CC & O was the product of consolidation of various companies which owned and operated different sections of the rail line between Elkhorn, KY and Spartanburg, SC.
