MacGovern, Charles C., 1873-1962.
Charles C. McGovern was born in Pittsburgh in 1873. He volunteered for the Spanish-American War in 1898 and returned home to become a policeman. He served as a bodyguard for Theodore Roosevelt and participated in the First World War. He held offices of Controller, Commissioner and Chairman of the Board. He died in 1961.
