Franklin, brother of Josiah Franklin and uncle of Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790), was a silk dyer in London, and emigrated to Boston in 1715.
Mary (1673-1758), daughter of Benjamin's brother Thomas Franklin (1637-1702), married Richard Fisher in 1708.
