Turner, Alfred Allatson, 1826-1895
A. A. Turner was a member of an expedition headed by E. B. C. Kennedy to explore the river discovered and named Victoria by Sir Thomas Mitchell in 1846. Kennedy used Barcoo, the Aboriginal name for the river.
