John Miller, printer, founder and editor of Miller's Weekly Messenger in Pendleton about 1795, came from London, England. Conflicting research gives his death date 1807 and 1809, according to Horace G. Williams, Anderson, S.C. Williams did research on Miller in order to secure a highway historical marker erected at Pendleton, May 2, 1960.
