Taylor, Elisha, 1817-1906

A native of Saratoga County, New York, Elisha Taylor came to Detroit in 1838 and lived here until his death in 1906. He was a graduate of Union College, New York, and was admitted to the Michigan bar in 1839. Taylor held a number of public offices, including Master in Chancery, 1842-1846; U.S. Pension Agent, 1854-1870; and U.S. Register of the Land Office, 1853-1857.
