Girls' Industrial School (Hobart, Tas.)
Variant namesFounded in 1862 as the Hobart Town Female Refuge Association to provide a home and education for neglected girls, the school was conducted by a committee elected by subscribers, in various premises in Hobart until it was handed over to the Salvation Army in 1945.
