Ku Klux Klan (1915- ). La Porte, Ind. (Chapter)
The Ku Klux Klan was formed in Georgia in 1915 and named after the organization that existed from 1866 to 1869. The Indiana Klan had more than 300,000 members at its height in 1924, but membership quickly declined after scandals in the mid-1920s.
