Smith, Joseph F., b. ca. 1837.
Joseph F. Smith was born about 1837. He emigrated from Iowa to Kansas Territory in 1860, settling in the Centropolis Township of Franklin County, whose post office was at Minneola. Smith emigrated to Kansas Territory with his wife Sarah Jane and son William F. Smith, born December 19, 1859. He farmed, working in winter months on the local Indian Reserve.
