Stone, Fred Wells, 1906-1969.
Born in Salem, Utah, on December 3, 1906, Fred Wells Stone married Sylvia Mary Rider on December 12, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Stone's subsequently moved to Stockton, California where they raised three children. From 1955 to 1959 Fred Stone served as mission president for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tonga. Fred W. Stone died in 1969 and his wife followed him death in 1975. Collection materials document the Stone's four year mission to Tonga.
