Hinson, R. M., d. 1861.
R. M. Hinson was a Confederate Captain in Company B (Morehouse Guards), 3rd Louisiana Infantry Regiment. The Regiment was under the leadership of Colonel Samuel M. Hyams and General Ben McCulloch. Hinson enlisted on May 17, 1861, and was killed on Aug 10, 1861, at the Battle of Oak Hill, Missouri.
