Mr. R.F. Van Brunt was born at the family plantation home at Iamonia, Florida, in 1862, died in December of 1914, and was buried on the Van Brunt plantation at Iamonia.
The holograph records retrieved by Mr. Clifton Paisley at the Bonds' residence in Lloyd, Florida, were property of Mr. R.F. Van Brunt of Iamonia, Florida, owner of the ancestral Van Brunt plantation located east of "Tall Timbers Plantation," the Beadel place. Mr. Van Brunt also owned a general store and moved to Miccosukee, Florida. He operated another general store there and was postmster until a rural route was established in 1908-1909.
