Sandy, Rosemary.
The Sandy family materials begin with John A. Sandy. He was born in Indiana in 1843 and served with the 33rd Indiana Infantry and the 148th Indiana Infantry. He and his wife Savannah Walters lived in Morgan County, Indiana. They had one son, James Sandy. He became a police officer and business manager at Riverside Park in Indianapolis at the beginning of the 20th century. He and his wife Rosa had two sons, Forrest and Otto. Otto became a mechanic and worked in the aviation field prior to World War I, and later in the automotive field. After James' death Rosa married Ed Boyce, the advertising inspector for the Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus.
