Moody, Mary Edith, 1926-
Mary Edith Moody was born on July 29, 1926, in Baton Rouge, La. She graduated from Southern University Laboratory School and earned degrees from Southern University, Louisiana State University, and the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Ga. Moody taught English and business education at the Louisiana State School for the Blind for more than 30 years. She became a minister in 1972 and has served at several African Methodist Episcopal churches in the Baton Rouge area.
