Member of New England Historic Genealogical Society; author of William Dawes, and His Ride with Paul Revere (essay read before the Society, June 7, 1876, and privately printed by Holland in 1878). Born in Rochester, N.Y., Mar. 20, 1844, son of Frederick West Holland and Harriet Dawes Holland; died in Boston, Mass., Oct. 27, 1909. Received B.S. from Harvard in 1865, LL. B. from Harvard Law School in 1867. Elected resident member of New England Historic Genealogical Society in 1875; made life member in 1881.
