Jönsson-Rose, Nils.
Nils Jönsson-Rose was appointed landscape gardener for the New York City Parks and Recreation Department in 1898. He designed the greenhouses which were located in Central Park at 5th Ave. and 107th St. He was educated at the Alnarp Horticultural School in Sweden and at the Royal Kew Gardens in England. He emigrated to the United States in 1888. He died in New York City in 1929.
