Bretschneider, Herman C., 1885-1971.
Bretschneider, a Denver pioneer oilman, started his career in the oil industry in 1912 working with the Franco-Wyoming Oil Company. While there he participated in the development of several major oil fields in Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico and Colorado. He later worked as head of the exploration department of Midwest Refining Company and then as president of Midwest Exploration Company. Beginning in 1934 he worked as an independent oilman.
