Frank Kenneth Ramsey (1910-1992), who earned his Ph.D. (1955) from Iowa State College (University), was a longtime Professor and Head of the Department of Veterinary Pathology at Iowa State University (1946-1980). From 1958-1959 Ramsey served as an International Cooperation Administration Consultant in Chile and in 1961 was veterinary consultant for the Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, to establish a veterinary school at Kabete, Kenya. He served in a number of capacities as an international consultant.
