Ethel (Barrows) Lovett (1882-1956) was the daughter of Martin and Jenny (Matthews) Barrows. She was born in Warren, Vt.; at some time her parents moved to Middlebury and lived at 15 Elm Street. Ethel attended Beeman Academy in New Haven, Vt.; graduating in 1901; before her marriage in 1911, she taught in S. Lincoln, Brooksville, Weybridge, Cornwall and Dowingsville, Vt.; her sister, Delia Barrows lived in Weybridge by the Quaker Bridge.
Other persons represented include Lucille Lovett, who was the daughter of Almon and Ethel (Barrows) Lovett. She graduated from Middlebury High School in 1936 and from Burlington Business College in 1939. She worked at the Elizabeth Lund Home in Burlington from 1944 to 1947. After that she took care of her parents on Happy Valley Road in Middlebury. Her mother died in 1956 and her father in 1975; Almon Lovett was the son of Herman and Hannah (Savilla) Lovett. They owned a farm on Quarry Road, Middlebury, now (2002) Happy Valley Orchard; There is no information on Robert W. Mills, whose papers form the bulk of those in an envelope marked "Uncle Wesley's papers."
