Mildred McCollom was born January 3, 1914 in Fort Worth, Texas and was reared there. In 1936 she auditioned and was hired by the Texas Centennial Live Stock & Frontier Days Exposition as a show girl for the Casa Manana Playhouse and Billy Rose's Fort Worth Frontier Centennial 1936-1937 seasons. In the early 1940s Miss McCollom travelled to New York with showman Billy Rose and his performance company. She appeared in many performances in New York and Florida. Miss McCollom married violinist Tyler H. Rott of New York where they lived until his death in 1993. After she retired, Ms. Rott moved to Louisville, Kentucky.
