Matthews, Wade H. B., 1933-

Wade H.B. Matthews, Foreign Service Officer, was born in North Carolina in 1933. He graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, N.C. and holds a M.A. from Stanford University. He served at embassies in South America and Europe. Other posts include Deputy Director, US Mission to the OAS and Director of the Office of Central American Affairs. He served as State Department Advisor to the NWC President, 1985-1988, and Professor of Strategy.
