Iowa Nurses' Association
Variant namesEstablished in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1904; affiliated with the American Nurses Association. Formed out of an existing network of nurse alumnae associations, its first objective was the standardization of nursing education but its overall purpose has been to promote and improve the professional skills, status, working conditions, and training of nurses.
