West, Jerry, 1949-
Variant namesHarold (Hal) West worked as a guard at the Japanese internment camp (Department of Justice) in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1943 and 1944. During his time at the camp he made a number of small studies of his follow guards. West was a WPA artist in the 1930s. In 1945, West was treated for a brain tumor in Chicago; he lived until 1968.
