Vanderhorst, Elias, 1791-1874.
Charleston, Aiken, and St. Bartholomew Parish, S.C. plantation owner. He married Ann Elliott Morris, daughter of Col. Lewis Morris of Morrisania, N.Y. Elias Vanderhorst was a delegate to the Nullification Convention (1832) and was Director of the Bank of the State of South Carolina.
