Allen, Harriet
Variant namesHarriet A. "Polly" Allen was a member of the Women's Army Corps during World War II (WWII). She was the daughter of Judd L. and Hattie Allen of 1901 East 33rd Street, Vancouver, Washington. Allen served as a private in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) Detachment, Headquarters (HQ) Far Eastern Air Force Photograph Section. After duty at Rome Army Air Field in Rome, New York, and Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, Allen accompanied her unit to New Guinea. In June 1945, the unit moved to Manila in the Philippines.
