Hide Profile

Fiddler Carroll Hubbard (1919-2001) married fellow fiddler Ora Mae, with whom he had a son, Jay. Hubbard joined the Light Crust Doughboys following World War II, but after a union dispute, he and several other members of the group reformed the Flying X Ranchboys, which became the first musical group to perform on television in Texas in 1948. However, the Doughboys later reorganized, playing into the early 1950s, and both Carroll and Ora Mae later played fiddle for the Ray Price Road Band.
