Chrowdhry, Maya

Maya Chowdhry was born in Edinburgh, and grew up in Scotland. Her career began in filmmaking, but she moved on to publish short fiction, poetry and plays. She is an interactive artist and uses interactive and digital media to make her work more participatory, and has used the internet to make her work more accessible. She has run workshops for young people, and has worked on art for health issues. Her experience in theatre includes a residency working with musicians and dancers. She has written on the experiences of Asian women, and on lesbian relationships.
