Siena Vista is a street in Mobile, Alabama. On November 22, 1948, residents along that street formed the Siena Vista Garden Club, which offered a social outlet for residents of the neighborhood. They agreed to maintain their properties and take steps necessary to promote beautification in the city of Mobile. Members met monthly to discuss yard care, plan neighborhood activities, and exchange tips on gardening. In local lore, however, the Siena Vista Garden Club is probably best known for its annual tradition of decorating for the holiday season each of the homes in the neighborhood, thus earning it the nickname "Christmas Lane."
