Variant namesDaniil Leonidovich Andreev (1906-1959) was the second son of the Russian writer Leonid Andreev (1871-1919) and the only one of his children to remain in post-revolutionary Russia, where he became a visionary poet and was arrested and imprisoned after the Second World War
