Laurent family
Stewart Frederick Laurent was born in Glenolden, Pennsylvania, on June 4, 1893, the son of Emil and Anna Laurent. He had three siblings: Helen, Edna, and Albert. On April 17, 1917, he married Alice Gracetina Clark in Glenolden. Laurent was drafted into the United States Army on November 3, 1917, and served in France with Company 11, 1st Motor Mechanics Regiment (later the 1st Air Service Mechanics Regiment), between February 1918 and around May 1919. After his return to the United States, he and Alice lived in Glenolden. Laurent worked for the Laurent Candy Shop, his family's store in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Stewart F. Laurent died on June 4, 1976.
