Smiley, William Hudson, 1868-1944
Variant namesWilliam H. Smiley came to Spokane Falls in 1878. He attended law school at the University of Michigan, graduating in 1895. He established a law practice in Spokane in 1896. Smiley was an accomplished scholar in Latin and Greek classics and translated several works into English.
