Southern Investment Company.
Company chartered in 1891 by Frederick W. Wagener and Rudolph Siegling of Charleston, S.C. Its principal place of business was originally in Seivern (Aiken County, S.C.). The company was established to "build and construct railroads ... canals, bridges, and buildings for corporations or individuals and to buy and sell all kinds of materials necessary for such purposes." The company also purchased and sold land, buildings, dwellings, and other structures.
