Hide Profile

The Froula Reading Circle was founded in 1909 by Eva B. Froula (Mrs. Vincent K. Froula) with an original group of 12 members from the St. Anthony Park neighborhood. The group, a women's social organization, focuses on subject study and reading. Membership is limited to 20, and until the 1990's were all members of the St. Anthony Park Congregational Church (now St. Anthony Park United Church of Christ), though the Church played no official role in the organization. The group was still in existence as of 2006. A detailed history of the Circle and further background information is included in the collection.
