Dunkin, Benjamin Faneuil, 1792-1874
Variant namesDunkin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Charleston upon graduating from Harvard College in 1811. He became an attorney and later a judge and South Carolina state representative.

Charleston, S.C. attorney, judge, and South Carolina state representative. A native of Pennsylvania and a graduate of Harvard, Dunkin was a charter member of the New England Society and last surviving charter member when the speech was given.
