Records Management Services (RMS), part of the Harvard University Archives, established the General Records Schedule (GRS) and published it in 1997. The GRS lists types of records found in University offices with decisions as to the timing of their destruction or retention. The name of the unit was changed from "Records Management Office" to "Records Management Services" ca. 2006.
