Edmunds Family

This item was owned by the family of John Edmunds, former headmaster of Garth School, Bangor, Gwynedd. He married his second wife, of Llandderfel, Merioneth, in 1859. His first wife, Mary Anne Jones, was a pioneer of education in Bangor. John Edmunds died in 1886.

Peter Williams, the author of Mynegeir ysgrythurol was born in 1723. His book assisted many ordinary Welsh folk to study the Bible.
