Bond, Gordon C.
Bond began his academic career in the History Department of Auburn University in 1967. His specialty was French Revolution and Napoleonic Europe. In the three decades that followed, Bond served as department head, associate dean, and finally Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. He served as chair of the faculty senate in 1982-83 and was active in the Western Society for French History and the Consortium on Revolutionary Europe among other professional societies.
