Fairbridge Society
Kingsley Fairbridge arrived in Western Australia in 1912 and commenced work on the establishment of a Farm School near Pinjarra. The object of the Farm School was to provide disadvantaged and orphaned British children an education and training in agriculture. In 1918 the Children's Farm School Immigration Society of Western Australia (Incorporated) came into being. The Fairbridge Farm School at Pinjarra closed in 1981.
