Presbytery originally erected in 1841 in Mississippi as Presbytery of Holly Springs, PCUSA; it changed its name to Chickasaw in 1855; it withdrew to the PCCSA in 1861 and continued in the PCUS after 1865; it merged with the Presbytery of Tombeckbee in 1907 to form the Presbytery of East Mississippi.
