Columbia M.A. 1927, Ph.D. 1931. Florinsky taught economic history at Columbia from 1931-1963. Among his major works were "Russia: A History and an Interpretation" and "Integrated Europe?" He also edited publications of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and for Collier Books' "Russian Civilization Series."
