Reverend Theodore Beekman Bartow (1806-1869), was the son of Jacob M. and Eliza F. Bartow. He was ordained on April 25, 1830 and became the rector of Christ Church, Frederica, St. Simons Island, Georgia (1830-1841). Bartow also served as rector of St. David's Church, Glynn County, Georgia. He married Isabella H. Couper (1815-1841) of St. Simons; after her death in 1841, he became a chaplain in the U.S. Navy and moved to New Hampshire. He retired from service on November 1, 1868. He and Isabella had two children: William and Isabelle.
