Half Hollow Hills Community Library (Dix Hills, N.Y.)
The Vanderbilt Parkway was financed by William Kissam Vanderbilt, millionaire car enthusiast, in the beginning of the 20th century. The first limited access toll road which opened in 1908, it was the precursor of all the parkways and expressways on Long Island.
