Lyndon A. Haight was born in Pine Plains, New York, and went to Syracuse University . In later life he lived in Auburn, New York and prior to his retirement was the treasurer of the Beacon Milling Company of Cayuga, New York . Mr. Haight was the author of Pine Plains and the Railroads (Pine Plains, NY: Little Nine Partners Historical Society, 1976). He had an avid interest in the railroads of New York State, particularly the Central New England Railway .
