Lubbock Heritage Society

Founded January 1979 as an offshoot of a Lubbock Junior League project by a group of 90 individuals. The society's primary purpose is to educate the community to appreciate and support the preservation of history and cultural aspects of life in Lubbock, Tex. Major accomplishments include moving and restoring the Mast-White home to prevent its destruction. The organization is still in existence today.
