Jarvis, Chester Deacon, 1876-1948

Chester D. Jarvis ( 1876-1948 ) was a horticulturist who worked at the Connecticut Agricultural College from 1906-1915 . He began in the Agricultural Experiment Station and was later named director of the reorganized Extension Service in 1913. Jarvis served in the latter capacity until 1915 when he became a specialist in Agricultural Education for the Department of Agriculture.
