Jansen family.

The Jansen family of Kankakee, Illinois and the McNamara family of Washington, Illinois, were united by the 1962 marriage of Marynan Jansen and Brooks McNamara, both graduates of Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois.

Marynan was the daughter of Whitney Claire and Nan Frances Moran Jansen of Arlington Heights, Illinois. Whitney Jansen was a social worker and social service administrator in Indiana, Chicago and Washington, D.C., and served in the naval reserves in World War II. He was the son of Robert and Louise Jansen of Kankakee. Brooks McNamara was the son of Elmer J. and Margaret Barry McNamara of Washington, Illinois. Elmer McNamara was the son of Oley Ray and Anna Jenkins McNamara of Mechanicsburg and later, Peoria, Illinois.
