Stocqueler, J. H. (Joachim Hayward), 1800-1875.
J.H. Stocqueler was a writer and entrepreneur in England, India, and the United States. His major works include HAND BOOK FOR INDIA AND EGYPT (1841), MAID MARIAN: THE FOREST QUEEN (1849), and THE MILITARY ENCYCLOPAEDIA (1853). In 1836, the Calcutta Public Library was founded at Stocqueler's suggestion.
